The Steubenville Nutcracker Village & Advent Market

Free and open to the public, the Steubenville Nutcracker Village™ is a gift to the people of the Ohio Valley, born out of a partnership between Nelson's of Steubenville and the Old Fort Steuben Project.

This annual event, located in the heart of downtown Steubenville, centers around Steubenville's newest claim to fame: the world's largest collection of lifesize nutcrackers, numbering 150-strong and still growing.

Displayed throughout Fort Steuben Park, the heart and historic soul of the city, each 6-foot nutcracker is 100% made in Steubenville by Nelson's, keenly crafted to brave the outdoor elements from late November through January each year.

With the nearby Market Street Bridge lit up in blue and gold, in full view of the great Ohio River, and with the setting sun painting the bedrock of the West Virginia hills in the distance, the Steubenville Nutcracker Village and Advent Market is a truly magical event that brings light and warmth to the Ohio Valley and its people.


Looking to Volunteer?

The Steubenville Nutcracker Village and Advent Market is looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of needs.  Setup crew, bus drivers, tour guides, and clean-up crew members are always needed.
